An urchin should not be bothered by lighting. Is there some particular behavior that is making you believe something is wrong?
Steven Pro, yeah that is my real name.

I'm sorry but I don't understand the question. Are you referring to the pigmentation of the urchin or are you asking about the external light being provided?
TomNot knowing something is usually a milestone on the way to knowledge.

My long spine hides from the light when they first come on. Then he is back out in an hour, repeats as each level of light comes on. Rock boring urchins only come out at night, and find a rock crevice during the day.
90Overflow, wet dry, home made skimmer; self cleaning, w/800 rio. Two return pumps, one off at night. 384W PC. Reverse flow under/over gravel filter. Fish, LR, some corals. Aquarium has over head matching cabinet.

| My urchin doesn't come out at all during the day. But,as soon as the MH turn off he's all over the tank.
