So I finally removed the old pre-fab rigid liners, dug out the hole to approx 450-500 gallons and bought the liner and some rocks, everything is ready to go. I really wanted to rent or borrow an inline water meter that could be attached to a garden hose so I'd know how much water it holds. That never happened and I doubt I'll come up with one on Mamorial Day. Are there any tricks for estimating the volume? Maybe I could time how long it takes to fill a 20 gallon tank and then time the pond fill? Any better ideas? TIA, - D
Seahorse Aquatics: yes, we have no seahorses.

| The usual method is L(ft)xW(ft)xavg. Depth(ft)x 7.5 will give you a rough estimate of your pond volume.
